Student Assistant

Bio

Gabriel Vicente Rodrigues is a Master's student at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (USP). During his exchange program at RPTU, he worked as a student assistant (HiWi) from December 2024 to September 2025 under the supervision of Phil Ostheimer. His work focused on applying artificial intelligence methods to sparse data, including single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data, for information extraction, predictive modeling, and data synthesis. Since May 2026, he has been contributing to research led by Muhammad Waasif Nadeem, investigating the application of Neural Operators to scientific machine learning problems involving datasets governed by Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). His research interests include deep learning, with a particular focus on Transformer-based architectures, and Natural Language Processing.
